Looking for a way to help but you don't have the spare time to volunteer or the ability to foster/adopt?
That's ok, I know how you feel. I truly love animals especially dogs and cats but with 2 kids and a full-time job I just don't have the bandwidth to spend a ton of hours each week helping a rescue with all of the needs they have at their kennels or the yard to give an amazing dog a new home.
The good thing is I know there are other ways I can help out and so can you.
Own a business? Try sponsoring an event or project. Many organizations need a little help when putting on special adoption events. Not only will you feel good doing it, but it is great to get your company name out there associated with a good cause. Sounds like a win-win to me!
Sell animal related products or services? Become a partner. Offer special discounts or special services that organizations can share with their audience. If you are feeling extra generous, donate a portion of the proceeds for a given time period to help boost their funds. A great way to get organizations to share your brand with their audience to gain additional market exposure PLUS, it makes you feel good and might even be tax deductible (just check with your accountant).
Have some extra cash? Donate a little. Many organizations operate on personal funds provided by founders and generous donations from amazing people like you. If you can spare a few dollars here and there or even set-up a recurring monthly donation, it could mean that organization can keep operating. What a good feeling sharing your spare change can create.
