Isabella is an 8 year old Animal Champion. She regularly advocates for animals whether they are her own or not. Some of her regular chores are feeding her 2 cats and 1 dog, and making sure they have plenty of water so they stay healthy. She often explores how she can make the world a better place through her Girl Scout Troop and community actions. We asked Isabella a few questions about being an Animal Champion. Here is what Isabella had to say about it all...

#MyGivingStory Ever have the feeling that you were meant to do more in this world? A calling that speaks to every fiber of your being. A passion that can move you to tears because you care so wide and deep to make a difference. That's how I feel about helping animal rescues.

Sometimes being good at our job means knowing when to delegate, DIY or just copy something that seems to be working really well for someone else. Thus is the art of reusing the wheel. Or, realigning it in the words of writer Anthony J. D'Angelo.

I talk about animal rescue, a lot. I talk about the crisis that is animal welfare and about all of the animals out there that need rescuing, and while the folks I talk to agree, there's something or things that hold them back from feeling like they can be an active participant in making an impact, too. Some might be fostering what one could only describe as a small zoo, some are busy raising mini-humans or taking care of loved ones, or they could be preoccupied by a million other things. Life happens. Thankfully, there's a way that you can directly help animals journey to their new life without you needing to attend a half-day training or commit long term to any particular amount of hours, ever.

WHO FOUNDED VOICE OF RESCUE? When Nicole & D’Ana met at work, they instantly became fast-friends (yup, they used the “F” word right away). Anytime they talked about their passions, they both always lit up (and yapped forever) when animals were discussed. That’s how they knew what they needed, and obviously wanted, to do. Pour their passion into helping animals. From the drive and inspiration of two individuals, determined to make an impact in the lives of animals, Nicole Jackson and D’Ana Guiloff founded Voice of Rescue.
